Deb Blaz photo Deb Blaz, a full-time French teacher at Angola High School in Angola, Indiana, is the author of four books on foreign language teaching strategies and a frequent workshop presenter, live, via video and on-line. She has been named French Teacher of the Year for Indiana, honorable mention to the USA Today All-America Teacher Team, as well as receiving the Project E Excellence in Education award.

Short description of the presentation

We'll talk about how to create a classroom in which students can actively experience and discover a new language, touching upon topics such as brain research, multiple intelligences and alternative assessment as well as technology. The presenter's hope is that you will pick up an idea or two to enhance the good things that are already happening in your classroom. Come with an idea of a topic you teach that you'd like some new ideas for.
