Short description of the presentation

Kanji are Chinese characters used in the Japanese language. It has been a challenge for learners to learn and teachers to teach. Kanji can be taught by teaching the components that make up the kanji - there have been various names for these components, such as radicals, elements, simple kanji, primitives. In particular, kanji can be taught by teaching the components BEFORE introducing kanji that are in the chapters of a textbook.
