AATJ Schneider Workshop: Internet/WWW for teachers of Japanese

Short Description of the workshop
This all-day hands-on workshop is designed for teachers of Japanese. The focus of the workshop is to explore WWW/internet resources for professional and classroom use. It will involve discussion of the use of technology, of e-mail, and of listserv for both professional development and class use; exploration and evaluation of materials available on WWW; creation of a short, on-line exercise; and creation of a one-page Web page. Please bring a PC-formatted disk. Also, it would be helpful to find out Operating System (Windows 95, Mac OS 8.1 and so on) and the browser's brand and the version (Netscape Navigator 3.1, Internet Explorer 5.0 and so forth) of both your computer and the lab that you will be able to use and bring this information to the workshop.
